How Payments are handled.
Half of the commission total is required upfront and the other half when the commission is done. The final product will only be delivered once I have received payment in full.
All payments are to be made through PayPal invoices. I will never send unsolicited invoices. Please contact my email if you receive any unsolicited offers / bills from someone pretending to be me. Include screenshots / forward emails.
You may pay the entire total in advance, but it is ideal to split it into halves.
Payment plans can be arranged only for larger commissions; ask me for details if necessary.
All commissions are final. NO refunds will be processed under ANY circumstances once the work is finished.
Commission Procedure.
Once I receive the first half of the payment, I will add you to my Current Commission list. You can use the list to check your position in the queue.
When I start work on your piece you will receive work in progress images via the platform you contacted me on. Once the work is done I will request the final payment, then your piece will be delivered via email. Your commission will be moved to the Previous commission list.
If the second half of the commission is not made within the agreed upon date with no further communication, You forfeit both the commissioned piece and the first half of the payment. No refund will be issued.
Solid Deadlines and Estimated Deadlines
The standard solid deadline for Digital commissions is 6 months. You may receive estimates that your commission will be completed in a shorter time frame, but as a precaution your commission will only include one solid deadline.
While I strive to finish work before any estimated dates, Life happens. Unexpected delays can occur and this solid deadline allows for recovery should any be required, without making the delivery late. Should an estimated deadline go unfulfilled, the commissioner will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
If the solid deadline passes, the commission may be partially or fully refunded. A refund will not be provided if the commissioner becomes unresponsive.
“I’ve Changed My Mind!”
If you need to cancel your commission for any reason before work has started, you will receive a full refund (minus any PayPal fees).
A full refund cannot be issued once work begins on your commission. You will be refunded for 50-80% of the payment submitted depending on the progress made, any work started is forfeit. It will be repurposed and resold.
You can modify your commission at any time before I start working on the piece. You can upgrade or include additional add-ons simply by paying the difference. You can even change the character information entirely. I cannot provide refunds for downgrades.
Once I start working on the piece, changes become much harder. I’m happy to make modifications within reason during sketching phase, But when the commission progresses further, changes will require additional fees.
Terms of service - PHYSICAL works
How Payments are handled.
A down payment is required upfront and the remainder when the commission is done. The final product will only be shipped once I have received payment in full.
The down payment will vary in total but will be explicitly stated in discussion and on the invoice. This payment covers materials and supplies, and once purchased, this payment cannot be refunded under any circumstance other than Creator Cancellation. More information at the bottom of the page.

Shipping costs will be increased if you are having the item shipped outside of the domestic United States. Once finished and shipped, your commission will be moved to the Previous commission list.
If the second half of the commission is not made within the agreed upon date with no further communication, You forfeit both the commissioned piece and the down payment. No refund will be issued. The item may or may not be altered and then be resold.

If you need to cancel your commission for any reason before supplies have been ordered, you will receive a full refund (minus any PayPal fees).
A full refund cannot be issued once supplies have been purchased. As only the required down payment is initially requested, You will be ineligible for a refund. If you cover shipping, applicable purchased supplies will be shipped to you. If not, the supplies are forfeit.
You cannot modify your commission once I order supplies. Any upgrades will be billed separate with their own non-refundable down payments. I cannot provide refunds for downgrades.
I’m happy to make small modifications within reason whenever possible, most changes, if not a mistake on my end, will require additional fees.
Shipping information, Upkeep, and repairs.
If your physical good is damaged or destroyed during shipping, contact me immediately with all evidence you can, including images of the outer packaging and I will immediately submit a claim with the shipping carrier. Some carriers will require the goods to be shipped to and forfeit to them to inspect and submit a refund. (UPS has done this to me.)
If you have any questions on up-keeping your physical good, please do not hesitate to contact me. As its creator I should have a great level of understanding in keeping your item in pristine condition.
Should you need any part made by me to be repaired or refurbished, I will gladly do so.
You will be required to cover shipping both ways, and depending on the damage, an extra repair fee.
If your item is defective on arrival, outside of shipping damage, I will repair it free of charge and I will reimburse your shipping cost to send it back to be fixed.
If the item is damaged in shipping and does not need to be forfeit to the carrier, I can repair it and provide an adjusted refund to make up for the supplies used to fix it, labor and shipping costs.

Legal Information.
All rights to the art I create, including commissions, belong exclusively to me. You may neither sell nor exchange my art in any form, physical or digital, print or NFT, under any circumstances unless you have my express written permission AND you have paid for the rights to do so. You may not use my art in any paid publication, on any online or physical marketplace.
You must provide attribution (@DomesticBandit) whenever posting commissioned work.
In addition, any art I create is my own. Unless exclusive rights are purchased I retain all rights to use and monetize my art in any way I choose. This includes marketing and published materials, Etc.
I will never use commissioned work in the sale of prints or merchandise. Your work will never be sold to another party, It will only used as example of my work and may appear in my own commission promotional material/portfolios.
It is prohibited to use my work in AI in any capacity.
Creator Cancellation & Additional information.
I reserve the right to decline or cancel a commission at any time, for any reason that I may have. I am not required to specify why I am not taking on a commission. You will be notified that the commission has been cancelled, and a full refund (minus any PayPal fees) will be issued immediately.
Digital Commissions are for personal use only. Artwork may be used as profile pictures/banners with credit, but may not be used for profit. Refer to the pricing page, there you will find the additional fees for commercial rights.
Physical Commissions include limited Commercial use rights. Attribution is required when posting images and or videos of the physical item. You may not replicate any physical item made by me without my express written permission AND you having paid for the rights to do so.
I.e. Making a mold to reproduce a physical base I have made.
